Sue Smith, SIOR

Sue Smith founded Argent Commercial Real
Estate Services in 2005.
Smith has more than 20 years of experience in area real
estate and land use issues. Prior to establishing
Argent,
Smith spent 14 years as a broker/associate with
Commercial
Properties of Nevada (CPON), in Reno. She served
on the Reno
Planning Commission for three years, from 1985-1987,
and
was elected to the Reno City Council, where she
served from
1987-1991.
Smith is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office
Realtors and has completed Certified Commercial
Investment Member classes. Smith graduated from
the
University of Nevada, Reno, in 1974 and is a
lifelong
resident of Reno. Sue was the DP Partner designee
for a Woman of Achievement Award.
Pam Barrett, CCIM
Sales Associate
Pam Barrett joined Argent in
2005. Prior to
that, she spent a year as a sales associate with
CPON.
Barrett spent 27 years with the City of Reno, where she was
a community resources manager in the division
that
administered $4 million per year in grants for
the city's low-income
citizens, as well as administering the code enforcement
program. In 1999, she received the City of Reno
Team Award for reinventing the city's code enforcement
program. In
1995, she was the City of Reno designee for the
Nevada Women's Fund "Women of Achievement" award.
Barrett attended Michigan
State University, East Lansing, in 1968, and
graduated from
the Washington School for Secretaries in 1969.
She has
completed Truckee Meadows Community College's
Real
Estate Appraisal class, the Nevada Women's Fund
Leadership Training Program and received the
Economic
Development Finance Professional Certification
from the
National Development Council in 2001.
